Amongst the effects of a recently departed brother was a Walthamstow Past Master’s jewel. The jewel was given to W. Bro. Peter Allan, the Secretary of Upminster Hall Lodge No 7573, of which the departed brother was also a member. Walthamstow Lodge No 2472 has had a long association with St Laurence and many brethren belong to both lodges. Brother Peter therefore passed the jewel to our W. Bro. David West, who arranged for it to be cleaned and then gave it to a member of Walthamstow Lodge. Brother Peter will formally present the jewel at a future lodge meeting.
