Sad to report that W Bro Vic Trytel passed to the Grand Lodge above on 19th June 2017 at the good age of 99 years. Bro Vic was a staunch supporter of St Laurence and was the Lodge Charity Steward for many years.
His son-in-law gave a very good tribute at the funeral service, mentioning Vic’s life and upbringing. His father died in 1938 but was a musical director of note, and a personal friend of Flanagan and Allen. Fittingly, therefore, the service ended with ‘Underneath the Arches’.
