We knew her as Peggy but her real name was Mabel Annie and she was the wife of W. Bro. Vic Trytel, Master of St Laurence in 1979. She sadly passed away and was cremated, following a lovely ceremony, in Corbets Tey on Friday 25 July 2014. W. Bro. Vic, now 97 years old, was able to attend with his extended family. He and Peggy were married for 68 years, a long marriage by any measure but given that it was Peggy’s second, it was quite extraordinary. Peggy’s first husband was killed in action in Crete and Vic met Peggy on his return from action in France. St Laurence was represented by W. Bro. Trevor Larkin and W. Bro. David West. The Master of Fellowship & Unity Lodge No 8680, W. Bro. Yakat Govani, was also present. Peggy worked for him in the first Chemist shop that he owned.
